We are looking for a dedicated class teacher to cover maternity leave for a Year 5/6 class, from 17th August until the end of the school year.

About the role
Bermagui Public School invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced teachers for the position of Stage 3 classroom teacher, commencing in 2026.
The role includes:
Undertaking full classroom teacher responsibilities for a Stage 3 class, including the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning programs across all Key Learning Areas.
Providing targeted support for students to ensure growth in literacy and numeracy.
Actively contributing to school programs with a focus on well-being and equity.
Establishing and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that reflects our school values of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety, while supporting the well-being and achievement of all students.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to delivering quality Stage 3 programs in a collaborative school context, working closely with staff, students, and the wider Bermagui community to ensure positive outcomes for every learner.
Selection criteria
Approval to teach K–6, with the knowledge and understanding to develop and deliver evidence-informed, differentiated teaching and learning programs in literacy and numeracy, informed by the analysis of student data.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team and to lead extra-curricular activities and responsibilities.
Commitment to whole-school well-being programs, with a strong emphasis on implementing effective classroom practice and behaviour management strategies that contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
