About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated English Curriculum Leader to join our dynamic and growing Catholic secondary school community in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80 km west of Brisbane.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leading learning and teaching across the English curriculum, supporting excellence in pedagogy, assessment, and student outcomes. You will have the opportunity to inspire staff, drive curriculum innovation, and contribute to a collaborative leadership team committed to student-centred learning.


In this position, you will:

  • Lead the coordination of designated curriculum areas within the school.

  • Apply contemporary research and data analysis to classroom practice through professional development, supervision, and induction of new teachers.

  • Provide pastoral care and professional support for staff engaged in English teaching.

  • Coordinate and develop work programs aligned with national, state, and local curriculum requirements.

  • Stay current with curriculum developments and support staff learning through ongoing professional reading and research.

  • Manage assessment, moderation, and reporting processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

  • Supervise teaching quality through collegial planning, moderation, observation, and reflective practice.

  • Monitor student learning outcomes using performance data and implement appropriate interventions.

  • Contribute to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.

  • Manage financial and material resources, including budget planning and expenditure.

About You

  • Experience managing a financial budget.

Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
