We are seeking a dedicated School Officer - Design Technologies Aide to join Mary MacKillop College in 2025 ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. The successful applicant will be experienced in a similar role in a school or educational setting.  This is Term Time, Level 3 School Officer position working 18 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, set up, and pack down equipment, ingredients, and materials for teacher lead lesson demonstrations
  • Maintain and clean kitchen and textiles areas, ensuring hygiene and safety compliance
  • Manage stock levels and order supplies, and consumables for all technology subjects
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report maintenance and servicing needs
  • Help students in class with cooking, sewing patterns, and other classroom tasks
  • Help teaching staff with the production of 3D printed and laser cut products
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment and assist in lesson preparation

  • Work diligently and quickly to support the relevant teams.
  • Be able to work in a fast-past, school environment
  • Possess and maintain a positive notice for Working with Children and Young people (Blue Card).


To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
