Australia Street Infants School is an inner-city infants school located in Newtown, Sydney. Our K-2 Infants School currently has 91 students, with Lennox House providing programs to families and children from 0 - 5 years old, and an onsite Public Preschool, providing a seamless continuum of early learning.

About the role
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified applicants for a Stage One class teacher position available for the 2025 school year.
The successful applicant will be part of a highly collaborative, supportive team who share teaching and learning programs.
The position is from 31 January 2025 to 19th December 2025
Selection criteria
Approval to teach K-2 with an ability to implement high quality explicit teaching in literacy and numeracy, using evidence and data to inform practice to support and extend a diverse range of learners.
Capacity to create a positive classroom learning environment through effective classroom management skills that enhance learning, engagement, and wellbeing, inclusive of students with diverse needs.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively within a stage team and enhance positive relationships with all members of the school community.
