Rouse Hill High School opened in 2009. Numbers for 2022 are approximately 1,100 students and 81 teaching staff. The 2021-2024 Strategic Improvement Plan focuses on growth and attainment targets for all students with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing. Quality teaching practices are enhanced through collaborative professional learning communities. Senior students undertake a Compacted Curriculum model for Higher School Certificate delivery completing three discrete Higher School Certificate subjects in each of their senior years. The school currently has one autism class. Whole school extracurricular programs and strategic direction responsibilities are shared amongst all staff. The school is part of a learning community with partner primary schools and has an active Parents and Citizens’ Association.
