Rainbow Street Public School has an enrolment of 479 students, including 51 % from a non-English speaking background, comprises 19 regular classes and four support classes catering for students with moderate intellectual disabilities, mild intellectual disabilities and autism. The physical learning environment recently underwent a major capital works program to serve the growing needs of the community, purpose built to provide future focused teaching and learning spaces. The new learning environment is designed to support modern and flexible learning models with collaborative learning spaces, spacious grounds and a blend of indoor and outdoor learning environments, providing students with a multitude of learning opportunities. The staff are a mix of experienced and early career teachers. Parents value the diverse culture of the school and are active and committed members of the school community working closely with staff for the maximum benefit of students. There is an emphasis on data driven and visible learning practices, a broad curriculum and the authentic use of information and communication technologies.
