Casuarina School is a School for Specific Purposes (SSP) located in Riverstone, Western Sydney. The school caters for the needs of students with complex emotional and behavioural learning needs. The school currently has 49 students ranging from Year 5 to school leaving age of 17 years old.
Casuarina School delivers quality, personalised programs to meet the diverse, complex and dynamic needs of our student population. The school has a strong focus on resilience and developing autonomy, character and adaptive life skills. Casuarina School aims to build strong connections with the broader community and external agencies and stakeholders. The belief that all students can learn when provided with research-based instruction within a positive environment underpins our policies, programs and practices. A case management approach drives the development, ongoing implementation and regular review of student Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
