Temporary Science Teacher (2-Week Block)

Position Duration: Monday, 17 August – Friday, 28 August 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science teacher to join our faculty for a two-week temporary teaching block from 17 August to 28 August 2026.

The successful applicant will teach a combination of:

• Year 7 Science

• Year 8 Science

• Year 9 Science

• Year 10 Science

• Year 11 Biology

• Year 12 Biology

The role requires a teacher who can deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and support students in achieving their learning outcomes. Lesson plans and teaching resources will be provided to support continuity of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Science and Biology lessons across Years 7–12.

• Foster a safe, respectful and engaging learning environment.

• Implement effective classroom management strategies.

• Assess student learning as required and provide feedback in line with faculty expectations.

• Work collaboratively with the Science faculty to ensure continuity of teaching and learning.

Essential Requirements:

• Current NESA accreditation.

• Approval to teach Science, including Stage 6 Biology.

• Current Working with Children Check.

• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
