Temporary Macedonian Community Language Teacher - Carlton Public School

Carlton Public School has an enrolment of 599 students. Our students come from diverse socio–economic and cultural backgrounds. 93% of students come from language backgrounds other than English and 1% identify as Aboriginal.

Carlton PS has a strong academic focus, especially in growth and attainment for all students in literacy and numeracy. The learning needs of our students are supported with a large team of specialist staff including EAL/D teachers and Learning and Support staff. Carlton Public School provides a range of performing arts and sporting programs giving students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. Promoting student voice is a priority and students are given opportunities to develop leadership skills. A strong emphasis is placed on integrating technology in classroom learning programs. 

Parental involvement is highly valued, and the Parents and Citizens' Association plays a vital role in supporting school programs and improving educational outcomes for all students.

We are seeking a temporary full-time classroom teacher to teach our Macedonian Community Language program from Monday 17th August - Friday September 25th, 2026. The position will be on a temporary contract.

Annual Competency Check

Willingness to teach Macedonian language across Kindergarten - Year 6.
