Stage 3 Classroom Teacher (Temporary Part-Time – Mondays and Tuesdays)

Banksmeadow Public School is seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and highly organised teacher to join our dedicated team two days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays) in a Stage 3 (Year 5/6) class.

This class presents a rewarding opportunity for an experienced teacher who is committed to building strong relationships, maintaining high expectations and creating a calm, structured learning environment. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the class-share teacher, stage team and school leadership to ensure consistency in teaching, learning and behaviour support practices.

The successful applicant will:

• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish and maintain clear expectations.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students while maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• Deliver explicit, evidence-informed literacy and numeracy instruction.
• Use effective differentiation strategies to support a range of learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families to maximise student outcomes.
• Be reflective, flexible and solution-focused when responding to challenges.
• Contribute positively to the culture and professional learning of the school.
• Be willing and able to take on extra PSSA (sport) duties
