The Opportunity
Due to the growth of the College, Islamic College of Brisbane is seeking an organised and proactive Volleyball Head Coach to oversee and coordinate the College’s volleyball program.
This role focuses on coordinating the volleyball program, student engagement, and communication, ensuring the effective delivery of volleyball activities in a safe, inclusive, and values-driven environment. The Head Coach will work closely with coaching staff, students, parents/carers, and the Sports Excellence Coordinator to support the ongoing development of the program.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee the College’s volleyball program in line with the College’s vision and HPE objectives
Organise training schedules, competitions, fixtures, and volleyball-related events
Liaise with coaches, staff, students, parents/carers, and external sporting bodies
Support student participation, engagement, wellbeing, and sportsmanship
Maintain accurate records, permissions, and basic program documentation
Support risk assessments and ensure safe practices are followed
Contribute to program review and continuous improvement
Selection Criteria
Experience coordinating or supporting school-based or community volleyball or sports programs
Strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, coaches, and staff
Understanding of student wellbeing, engagement, and child safety principles
Competent administrative and technology skills
Current QLD Blue Card (Working with Children) or the ability to obtain one
