About the Role

Our College is seeking a Secondary English Teacher to join us on a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract to cover paternity leave. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or experienced teachers who are eager to contribute to our vibrant school community.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Promote the mission and ethos of the College through active classroom participation and by modelling appropriate standards of behaviour.
• Maintain a positive and effective learning environment through well‑prepared and varied lessons that cater to a range of student abilities and interests.
• Set a challenging and realistic program of student homework.
• Provide prompt and thorough feedback on student work submitted for marking and supervision.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
• Current Queensland Teacher Registration or provisional registration.
• Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school.
• Demonstrated dedication to the profession of education.
