Job Summary

An exciting position is available as a Centre Manager at our brand new tutoring centre on the Central Coast. This position is ideal for primary or secondary teachers looking for a change from the classroom, or passionate graduates with strong leadership qualities and a desire to make a positive impact on education. This role will ideally start in Term 2, 2026 and be on a part-time basis, though we are flexible on both hours and start date for the right candidate.

About the Role

This is an active teaching role that is also responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the centre. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the centre’s presentation and organisation, ensuring the centre runs smoothly, professionally and efficiently at all times
  • Teach students maths and English using the NumberWorks’nWords programs and support tutors on the floor during tutoring sessions
  • Manage individual student programs by closely monitoring students’ needs and reviewing student record sheets
  • Promptly respond to all parent enquiries, including new assessment requests
  • Conduct student assessments and report results to parents
  • Interview, train and manage all tutoring staff, including preparing weekly rosters
  • Regularly liaise with parents about progress of every student each term
  • Issue invoices and collect payments
  • Ensure WHS and safety requirements are adhered to at all times
  • Assist the Owner with other administrative tasks as required

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine passion for education and working with children, including relevant qualifications and/or experience
  • Must be available to work in the afternoons until approximately 6.00pm
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to quickly build rapport with students, staff and parents
  • A willingness to work as part of a team
