Job Summary

Chester Hill Public School is seekingpassionateand enthusiastic classroom teachers for a variety of positions, who are committed to achieving outstanding learning outcomes for all students. 

We are located in Southwestern Sydney with approximately 580 students (23 classes) with a high number of students from non-English speaking backgrounds. 

Literacyandnumeracy are our primary areas of focus and learning in these curriculum areas is supported, developed and enhanced through additional RFF focused on curriculum reform. 

We are a PBL school, and with the implementation of the Berry Street Education Model, we value the development of authentic relationships with our students, supporting them to reach their potential across a range of areas. 

There are temporary full-time (5 days/per week) and part-time positions for Term 1 2026 with the possibility of extension available.

  • Approval to teach K–6 with a demonstrated ability to plan and deliver quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs, with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy.   
  • Proven ability to support and implement wellbeing initiatives that maintain and enhance a positive, supportive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Proven ability to contribute positively to the school community. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to contribute effectively to stage teams.
