Primary Teacher – Middle Primary (Initial 12-Month Contract, 2026)

St Michael’s Lutheran School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to urgently join our supportive, forward-thinking team. This is a 12-month contract position in Middle Primary, commencing in 2026, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a vibrant Christian learning community.

About the Role

This role is more than curriculum delivery. As a classroom teacher, you will:

• Create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment where every child is known and valued

• Design engaging, inquiry-led and transdisciplinary learning experiences

• Teach the Australian Curriculum through the IB Primary Years Programme

• Collaborate closely with colleagues and families

• Actively participate in the Christian life of the school through devotions and faith conversations

Requirements

• Registration (or eligibility) with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia

• Current Working With Children Check and RAN-EC certification

• Understanding of, or openness to learning about, the IB Primary Years Programme

• A strong commitment to child safety, inclusion, and holistic education
