Expressions of interest are invited from applicants interested in the temporary position of School Learning Support Officer at Kandeer School. The position is to cover 4 weeks full-time parental leave commencing 31st March 2025, with the possibility of ongoing part-time work thereafter.

Kandeer School is a school for specific purpose catering for students with mental health and behaviour disorders. School Learning Support Officers provide support for students with diverse learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under the supervision of a teacher.

Duties may include:

• the implementation of personalised learning and behaviour plans
• the day-to-day support of students, including in the playground and whilst on excursions
• supporting students off-site while they attend transition days at their ‘home school’
• working within a team of teachers and SLSOs to support students to engage in learning
