  • $84,078 - $121,093 per annum + Super (commensurate with experience)

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Legal Studies Teacher for a Term 2 contract. The successful candidate will also be able to teach in other subject areas based on their expertise and the needs of the college.

About the role - 
As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:

  • Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy

About you - 
To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Legal Studies + Other Subject as well as:
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • Demonstrated experience or capability to teach Legal Studies in a secondary school setting
  • Willingness and ability to teach in other subject areas as required
  • Strong organisational, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to the ethos, values, and mission of Brisbane Catholic Education
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:
  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  • Have a commitment to Safeguarding

Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience teaching Humanities, Business, or other complementary subjects
  • Understanding of senior secondary curriculum requirements and assessment practices
  • Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching practices into the classroom

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach pathways after you start with us.
