Job Summary
Villawood North Public School is looking for a teacher librarian for three days a week, negotiable with the successful candidate. The role entails managing student borrowing, planning and programming for Stage classes in collaboration with class teachers to cover information skills and technology and integrate literacy teaching and core concepts from HSIE units.
As part of the role, the teacher librarian will co-ordinate Book Week celebrations and the Premier's Reading Challenge.
With reading as a key focus for our School Excellence Plan, the library plays an important role in encouraging our students and community to grow their love of books.
The right person for this job will be able to establish positive relationships with students, staff and parents. They will be a strong communicator and collaborator, have a wonderful imagination and be highly creative in our library space.

Villawood North is a school of approximately 250 students. We have ten mainstream classes, three Support Unit classes for students with Autism, and team of Learning Support, EAL/D and Community Language teachers.
