Bankstown Girls High School is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of Physics and Science to join our dedicated team temporarily for Term 1 and a chance for further extension. A willingness to teach elective iSTEM is essential.

The successful applicant will:

• Plan, program, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Physics, Science, and elective iSTEM, aligned with the NSW curriculum.
• Inspire curiosity and foster a passion for science and STEM-related subjects in students.
• Collaborate with the Science faculty and Head Teacher to develop, review, and implement teaching programs and resources.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment that supports student success.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Essential Requirements:

• Accreditation with NESA and current approval to teach in NSW public schools.
• A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department of Education’s policies, including the Child Protection and Anti-Racism Policy.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience in teaching Stage 6 Physics and elective iSTEM.
• A passion for STEM education and promoting hands-on, inquiry-based learning.
• Ability to incorporate technology and innovative practices into teaching.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
