School Overview
Glenroy Public School is situated in the rural city of Albury with a total enrolment of 217 students. The student population has a small number of English as an Additional Language or Dialect students and 25% Aboriginal students. The school consists of multiple composite classes and three multi-categorical classes. The dedicated and enthusiastic staff work collaboratively to provide a safe and challenging learning environment that encourages all students to meet their full potential in academic, cultural, social, emotional and sporting endeavours.
The school has an unwavering focus on student wellbeing and attendance, with a designated Attendance Coordinator and Aboriginal Education Officer working with families to maintain regular attendance.
About the role
Teachers are invited to express interest in the position of a Classroom Teacher, Glenroy Public School, from 31 January 2025 to 26 January 2026.
Selection criteria
- Approval to teach K-6, with demonstrated ability to develop high quality differentiated literacy and numeracy programs to improve learning outcomes for all students.
- Demonstrated effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices with the capacity to cater for a diverse range of students, including students.
- Demonstrated skills and experience to implement evidence-based teaching and learning strategies in the classroom.
- Strong collaborative and reflective practice to ensure continual growth and development as a high-quality educator.
Who can apply
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process
