Meadowbank Public School has an enrolment of 700 students and is in the Ryde network on the traditional land of the Wallumedegal people.  Meadowbank Public school provides quality educational programs with high expectations of all students and staff and importance is placed on providing a range of differentiated learning opportunities to meet the needs of students. The community is from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds with 86% of students from language backgrounds other than English. The wellbeing of students is paramount, and the school strives to foster a sense of belonging and encourage students to have a voice. The school has a supportive P&C that enhances the school team to enrich school programs and resources. In 2022 the school established one support class with a second class forming in 2023. The final class will form in 2024.

Criteria

Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism, mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, multi- categorical disabilities and/or behaviour difficulties.

Outstanding classroom practice with the demonstrated ability to collaboratively develop, monitor and maintain quality personalised learning and behaviour support plans for students with complex learning needs. The capacity to use data and assessment to develop, implement and evaluate highly engaging and differentiated learning programs.

Evidence of high level interpersonal and organisational skills with proven ability to work proactively, collaboratively and professionally with all stakeholders including staff, parents and external providers to support all students to reach their highest academic and social goals.
