About the School

Chalmers Road School delivers differentiated educational programs for students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities from Kindergarten to Year 12. A number of students have additional learning needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments, complex health and behavioural needs. Currently there are 80 students enrolled at Chalmers Road School across 12 classes, with approximately 90% of families having a Language Background Other Than English.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Teacher Special Education, for the 2025 school year.

Selection Criteria

1. Capacity to differentiate teaching and learning programs and embed communication opportunities for all learners.
2. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop supportive relationships with students, staff and community.
