About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our vibrant school community at St Scholastica's College from Term 1, 2025.  You will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic drama lessons to our secondary school students, helping to cultivate their creativity, self-expression, and performance skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and deliver innovative drama lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities
  • Develop and implement engaging drama curriculum content, including acting, directing, and technical theatre
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them progress in their dramatic skills
  • Organise and direct school drama productions and performances
  • Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive and enriching arts education
  • Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation

What we're looking for

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and accreditation
  • Demonstrated experience teaching drama in a secondary school setting, including Stage 6
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and the school community
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities to juggle teaching, rehearsals, and productions
  • Creativity, passion, and a genuine love for inspiring students through the dramatic arts
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated faculty team
