This Special Education Teacher is a temporary position, and starts Monday 14 October 2024 until the end of Term 3 2025, Friday 10 October 2025 with the possibility of extension. The role is based in a support class. 

Who can apply? Teachers with NSW Department of Education approval to teach K-6. 

Selection Criteria: 

• Approval to teach special education and/or experience in teaching students with disabilities including behaviour disorders, mild and moderate intellectual disabilities and autism.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum and implement individualised learning programs through personalised learning and support plans that improve outcomes for all students.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders to build a culture of inclusivity.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a positive and well-managed learning environment, through the implementation of evidence-based strategies.
