Expressions of interest are invited from SLSOs interested in the position of a School Learning Support Officer Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00am – 1:00pm, from Monday 29 July 2024 until the end of Term 4 2024.
The position will be located at: Tucabia Public School, Mookin Street, Tucabia, NSW, 2462
Tucabia Public School, situated on Yaegl land approximately 26km east of Grafton in a rural setting, serves a student body of 25 students, with 28% identifying as Aboriginal. The school operates with two classes: one catering to grades K-2 and another to grades 3-6. Emphasizing a broad spectrum of programs including leadership development, sustainability education, and inquiry-based learning, Tucabia Public School integrates technology across classroom activities. Students are encouraged to engage in critical and creative thinking while acquiring and presenting knowledge. As a member of the Clarence Valley Community of Small Schools, the school actively promotes collaborative sharing, professional learning, and student engagement within its community. Selection Criteria
• Employment history & qualifications: Include your work history and qualifications, along with details of your ‘Working with Children Check’.
• Personal statement: Describe why you are interested in joining the team at Tucabia Public School. Please include any relevant personal or professional experiences, special skills, or attributes that make you a strong candidate for the School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) position at our school.

Departmental requirements: As with all NSW Department of Education positions there is an expectation that staff have undertaken / will undertake mandatory training before starting the role. It is also a requirement that any member of staff has a current ‘Working With Children Check’.
