Teacher at Gulyangarri Public School
Full Time
Primary School
13-05-2024
Liverpool, New South Wales
Gulyangarri Public School opened at the beginning of 2024. It is located adjacent to Liverpool Boys and Liverpool Girls High Schools in the Liverpool CBD. The school's name comes from Darug language and translates to children in English. The word gulyangarri highlights the importance of children being at the centre of all that we do.
The school is being delivered in two stages, with the first stage catering for 580 students including four support classes and a preschool for up to 40 children.
The school is designed to support high quality teaching and learning for students from diverse cultural, linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds. An emphasis on explicit teaching and strong character development will lay the foundation for student success. Partnerships with schools, TAFE, universities and the broader community will enrich learning for students and staff.
The temporary position is to start as soon as possible until Friday 20 December 2024, with the opportunity of extension. The role will be a class based role initially to cater for increased enrolments.
