Job Summary

At Tamar Valley Steiner School the Prep year follows the Steiner Early Childhood education model. It is play based with a strong focus on imaginative - open ended play.  The learning assistant role would involve supporting specific students in social learning, including communication and cooperation in play along with encouraging them to engage with the more structured learning activities.  The contract would be for an 8 week period (term 2) with the possibility of renewal in terms 3 and 4 of 2024.  It is also possible for the role to be job share and split to just 2 or 3 days of the week, 8.30 - 3 pm.  A background in working in Early Childhood would be desirable but not essential.
