Expressions of interest are invited from teachers interested in the position of a Classroom Teacher K-2 (FTE 0.8) from Monday 6 May 2024 until the end of Term 4, 2024.
The position will be located at: Tucabia Public School, Mookin Street, Tucabia, NSW, 2462
Tucabia Public School is located approximately 26km east of Grafton in a rural setting, with an enrolment of 25 students, 28% identifying as Aboriginal. The school has two classes: one for grades K-2 and another for grades 3-6. Offering a diverse array of programs such as leadership development, sustainability education, and inquiry-based learning, Tucabia Public School prioritises the integration of technology throughout classroom activities. Students are encouraged to think critically and creatively while acquiring knowledge and presenting their learning. Additionally, the school's membership in the Clarence Valley Community of Small Schools fosters collaborative sharing, professional learning, and student engagement.
Selection Criteria:
1. Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with demonstrated knowledge of the K-2 Curriculum.
2. Implementation of evidence-informed literacy and numeracy practices to deliver high quality differentiated teaching and learning programs.
3. Proven ability to create positive learning environments through the implementation of effective classroom behaviour management and student wellbeing programs.
