The I Can Read System is the first structured, cumulative and hierarchical system in the world to link clusters of letters to a single sound.
Originating from research conducted between 1995 and 2000 by Antony Earnshaw and Annabel Seargeant, it remains unique and highly successful.

The I Can Read reading programme teaches students to blend letters (graphemes) to articulate and comprehend invariant sounds (phonemes), empowering them to take control of their own progress.
