Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Support students with diverse disabilities, complex learning needs and challenging behaviours.
• Assist teachers in implementing individual learning, behaviour support and wellbeing plans.
• Provide individual and small-group support to promote student engagement and independence.
• Implement positive behaviour support strategies and assist with emotional regulation and de-escalation.
• Support students with personal care, mobility and daily living needs where required.
• Assist with student supervision during classroom activities, playground duties, excursions and community access programs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SLSOs and other school staff to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, professionalism and a commitment to student wellbeing.
• Participate in professional learning and follow school policies, procedures and student safety plans.
