Job Summary
We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from staff interested in a classroom teaching engagement in the HSIE faculty at TJHS in 2027.
There are a range of positions needing to be filled, ranging from possible 0.6-1.0, which could include teaching mandatory 7-10 and/or elective 9-10 and/or HSC courses 11-12.
To ensure transparency and equity, all interested applicants are asked to follow the process below.
1. Written Application
Submit a written application, no more than one A4 page (size 11, Arial font), addressing the Position Criteria below. Include a cover page outlining:
2. Selection Panel
A panel will be convened, including a staff member (Joanne Twomey) and executive representative (Ben Flewellen), to select the most suitable candidate. Where required, candidates will be invited to interview.
3. Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will be determined by how well the Position Criteria are addressed in writing and, if required, at interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be offered feedback on their application once the position has been filled.
Position Criteria:
1. What skills, experience and versatility do you bring to the HSIE faculty at TJHS.
2. Describe strategies you have used to build rapport, drive engagement, and improve learning outcomes for students.
3. Describe a time you innovated in your planning, assessment or student feedback, OR reflect on a challenge that shaped your teaching practice- what did you learn, and how have you grown as a result?
