Primary Classroom Teacher (Prep-Year 6)

St. Michael’s College Caboolture, is seeking passionate and enthusiastic applicants to apply for the position of classroom teacher within our College for the start of the 2027 school year. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with their teaching team, to provide our students with opportunities and skills within Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) to prepare students for successful lifelong learning in a rapidly changing society. By collaboratively embedding Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and utilising targeted interventions, you will design flexible, inclusive environments that proactively remove learning barriers and ensure every student is engaged, challenged, and empowered to succeed.

Responsible to: Principal / Deputy Principal

Responsibilities/Duties related to the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons for students in Prep - Year 6. You will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs and using technology effectively. You will also participate in collaborative planning and curriculum development.

• Providing pastoral care and a safe, nurturing environment for all students. You'll use positive behaviour management strategies and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.

• Maintaining accurate student records, writing reports and communicating effectively with parents and staff. You will also attend meetings and complete administrative tasks, such as risk assessments for school events.

• Showing a commitment to continuous professional development and adhering to all school policies and procedures, including the code of conduct and dress code. You will act as a positive representative of the College within the wider community.

SC5: Demonstrated ability to build cooperative relationships with parents and the wider school community.
