Casual Preschool Teachers & Educators (SLSOs) – Term 4 2026

Cartwright Public School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated casual teachers and educators (SLSOs) to join the casual relief team for our brand-new public preschool commencing in Term 4, 2026.

We are currently accepting applications through ClassCover from suitably qualified teachers and SLSOs who are interested in casual work within our preschool setting. Successful applicants will be added to our regular casual booking list, providing opportunities for ongoing casual work as required.

Applicants must meet the relevant NSW Department of Education and early childhood qualification requirements for the position they are applying for.

Required documentation

All applicants will be required to provide the following relevant documentation prior to working within our preschool:

• Working With Children Check (WWCC) verification – email from the Office of the Children’s Guardian or verification through the Service NSW app.
• Mandatory Training Summary showing current Child Protection training and CPR/Annual Competency Check certification. This may be accessible through a SCOUT HR report, MyPL or Q+.
• Teachers: Evidence of an ACECQA-approved qualification – Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) or approved primary teaching qualification.
• SLSOs/Educators: Evidence of an ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma qualification, or an academic transcript/evidence of enrolment if currently working towards an approved qualification.
• Teachers: NESA Accreditation – current eTAMS Teacher Summary Report.
• Evidence of change of name, where qualifications or other documentation are held under a different name.
• HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting, if held. At least one appropriately qualified person must be available on site at all times.
• Foundation National Child Safety Training Certificate (GECCKO).
• Advanced National Child Safety Training Certificate (GECCKO).

Teachers must also hold the appropriate approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education before undertaking casual teaching work.
