Sam’s Tutoring is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic English Tutor to join our Smeaton Grange and Hoxton Park centres.

We are specifically looking for someone who is available to work on Tuesdays and is confident in supporting students with English in high school and primary school. 

About the role:

• Tutor students in English in small group and/or individual sessions
• Explain concepts clearly and adapt your teaching to different learning needs
• Support students with reading, writing, comprehension, grammar and assessment preparation
• Provide a positive and encouraging learning environment
• Help students build their confidence and improve their academic performance

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong English skills and a good understanding of the NSW curriculum
• Is patient, approachable and confident working with students
• Is reliable and committed to regular Tuesday shifts
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred, but not essential

This role would be well suited to a university student studying Education, English or a related degree, a pre-service teacher, or an experienced tutor looking for regular weekly work.
