Job Summary
OSHC Lead Educator – Commencing Term 3 2026
Part-Time | Ongoing Appointment
Job Description
At Samford Valley Steiner School, working in Outside School Hours Care
is about more than supervision and routines. It is an opportunity to be part of
a warm, connected school community where children are known, relationships
matter, and learning is supported through care, creativity, and meaningful
engagement.
We are currently seeking a
part-time OSHC Lead Educator to join our team, commencing in Term 3, 2026. This
ongoing role supports the delivery of our Before School Care, After School
Care, and Vacation Care programs, while helping to create a safe, inclusive,
and engaging environment for children.
Located on 20 acres of beautiful
bushland just outside Brisbane, Samford Valley Steiner School is Queensland's
largest Steiner school. Our approach to education values the intellectual,
emotional, and practical development of every child, and our OSHC program plays
an important role in supporting this philosophy beyond the classroom.
As the OSHC Lead Educator, you
will work closely with the OSHC Coordinator, support the day-to-day operation
of the service, and provide leadership when required. We are looking for
someone who is nurturing, organised, proactive, and committed to creating
positive experiences for children and families.
To be considered, you will hold a
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent),
a current Blue Card, First Aid qualifications, and experience working in an
OSHC or early childhood setting. An interest in, or willingness to engage with,
Steiner education is highly regarded.
Our staff value the supportive
culture, beautiful natural environment, professional development opportunities,
and the chance to make a genuine difference in children's lives. We offer
competitive employment conditions, generous superannuation, and a collaborative
team environment.
You can quick apply through your
ClassCover profile, allowing us to review your experience, qualifications, and
availability. We look forward to hearing from you and sharing more about our
unique school community.
