About I Can Read

I Can Read is a leading literacy programme developed by educational psychologists and used internationally for over 25 years. Our structured approach helps children develop strong foundations in reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, and communication.

About the Role

As an I Can Read Teacher, you will:

• Teach your own regular classes each week
• Deliver structured literacy lessons using the I Can Read methodology
• Support students aged 3–12 in phonics, reading, comprehension, spelling, and writing
• Build positive relationships with students and families
• Monitor and record student progress
• Create an engaging and supportive learning environment

All lesson plans, teaching materials, and resources are provided, allowing you to focus on teaching and student development.

Training & Support

Successful applicants will receive:

• Comprehensive 3-day training provided by Head Office
• Ongoing mentoring and support
• Professional development opportunities
• Training in the I Can Read teaching methodology and classroom delivery

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for literacy and education
• Enjoys working with children
• Is reliable, energetic, and professional
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Holds a qualification in Education, Teaching, or a related field
• Holds a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Previous teaching or tutoring experience is highly regarded but not essential.
