Temporary Fixed Term Position Terms 3 & 4, 2026
Suneden is an Independent specialist school catering for students with intellectual disabilities aged 5-19.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Teacher to join our team of dedicated staff working with a class of 9-12 year old students.
This position is a full-time temporary/fixed term contract for terms 3 & 4 of 2026, with the option for an immediate start. There may be an opportunity for further employment beyond 2026.
The position is advertised as full time, however part time applicants will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Detailed planning and implementation of learning programs in line with the Australian curriculum.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the developmental, sensory and communication needs of students.
Effective classroom management and organisational skills including ability to support students with self regulation.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff contributing as a proactive and engaged member of a professional learning community.
Essential Skills/Qualifications
Tertiary Degree in Education (Special Education qualification preferred).
Current Teacher Registration with Teachers Registration Board SA.
Experience working with students with Intellectual disabilities and Autism (preferred).
First Aid Certificate.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Excellence in report writing and record keeping.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be determined according to your experience in relation to the Suneden Enterprise Agreement. Salary packaging is available.
