About the Role
We are excited to announce the establishment of an Autism (AU) / Multicategorical (MC) class at Narrabeen North Public School.
The position is Temporary Full-time for Terms 2,3 and 4, 2026
The class caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, with all placements involving a 5-day ongoing census enrolment at Narrabeen North Public School.
AU/MC classes accommodate a maximum of three disability sign-offs per class. This newly established class will primarily support students with Autism/MH. Enrolment will be managed via the Access Request and Panel processes.
Selection Criteria:
Possession of approval to teach Special Education and/or demonstrated experience teaching students with diverse needs, including Autism, moderate intellectual disabilities, and complex behavioural and communication challenges.
Proven ability to differentiate curriculum and deliver inclusive, individualised learning programs that enhance student communication and engagement.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, and external agencies.
A strong commitment to whole-school wellbeing initiatives, with a proven track record in creating positive, inclusive learning environments through effective student behaviour management and supporting students with social and emotional needs.
