Job Summary

Lake Macquarie High School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Temporary Teacher to join our team from Day 1, Term 2.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Science and Mathematics lessons to junior classes (Years 7–10).
Plan, implement and assess learning programs that cater for a diverse range of learners.
Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with the Science and Mathematics faculties to support student learning and faculty initiatives.

Essential Requirements

Current NSW Department of Education approval to teach (or eligibility to obtain).
Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Desirable

Experience and willingness to teach the Stage 4 & 5 Science and Mathematics curriculum
Willingness to integrate practical work, ICT, and literacy/numeracy strategies into lessons.
Commitment to student wellbeing and positive behaviour for learning practices.
