Job Summary

Findon High School is seeking to build a pool of Relief Teachers with experience or a strong interest in working with students with severe and multiple disabilities for future relief opportunities within The Palms unit.

The Palms is a specialised Severe and Multiple Disability Unit located at Findon High School in the Western Suburbs. The unit supports five students who are non-verbal and have individualised specialised health care plans. Each student is supported one-on-one by a School Services Officer (SSO) for learning, meals, and personal care routines.

The role of the teacher includes facilitating and adapting lessons, working collaboratively with SSO staff, recording and analysing student data, updating Seesaw, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the unit.
