Teacher Stage 3 - Telopea Public School

on Dharug land in the Carlingford Network of schools. The school has a current
enrolment of 140 students. The school enjoys and maintains a strong culture of
inclusion as well as a sustained focus on the use of evidence-based practices
to improve student outcomes. Teachers work in collaboration to ensure a shared
understanding of what works best in employing explicit instruction to optimise
learning progress across the full range of abilities.
About the role
An opportunity exists for a 5-week block on a Stage 3 class
from Monday 2nd March until Thursday 2nd April. Expressions
of interest are invited from suitably qualified applicants. There may be the
possibility of extension, as further blocks of leave are scheduled throughout
the year.
Selection criteria
- Demonstrated
ability to implement differentiated literacy and numeracy programs using
evidence and data to inform practice aligned to explicit teaching.
- Effective
classroom management and ability to develop a positive classroom learning
environment to enhance student engagement and wellbeing.
- Highly
developed communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability
to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and community.
Who can apply
Expressions of interest are invited from qualified
applicants who hold current approval to teach Primary (K-6) and meet all
mandatory employment requirements for NSW public schools.
