Newtown High School of the Performing Arts is a partially selective (in Dance, Music and Drama), co-educational, comprehensive school located on Gadigal Land approximately 5 kms southwest of Sydney. Position Information This is a fulltime 1.0 FTE position for Term 1, 2026 with the possibility of extension. Successful applicants will be required to attend an interview.
Position Criteria
- Approval to teach 7-10 Science with demonstrated evidence of exceptional classroom practice and the ability to design and deliver differentiated, high-quality teaching and learning to meet diverse student needs.
- Approval to teach Stage 6 Biology with demonstrated experience in teaching Year 11 Biology and the ability to implement evidence-based teaching practices that maximise student achievement.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with faculty members to develop, implement and evaluate teaching and learning programs that foster a culture of high expectations and student growth
