About the role
Erskineville Public School is seeking passionate and dedicated K–6 teachers who are committed to achieving excellent outcomes for all students. Applicants should demonstrate flexibility to teach in single-stage and multi-stage classes, with demonstrated experience in K-2. We are currently seeking both a full-time temporary teacher and a part-time job-share teacher for 2026. Additional full-time, part-time, and short-term opportunities may also be available.
Teachers at Erskineville PS are expected to:
· Plan, implement, and evaluate quality teaching and learning programs that align with curriculum standards and school priorities.
· Use data to inform practice, providing responsive instruction in literacy and numeracy to improve student outcomes.
· Create and maintain safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environments that support wellbeing and positive behaviour.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and community partners to support student learning and wellbeing.
Selection criteria
- Approval to teach K–6 with a strong knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in, evidence-informed pedagogy and explicit teaching practices.
- The capacity and willingness to use existing school-wide data sources to reflect on student progress and deliver responsive classroom instruction.
- Demonstrated experience in creating inclusive learning environments and effectively managing K-2 classrooms, with skills in catering for a diverse range of students, including those with complex needs.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the broader school community.

Expressions of interest are invited from qualified and experienced applicants who hold current approval to teach Primary (K-6), a valid Working with Children Check, and meet all mandatory employment requirements for NSW public schools.
