We are looking for a professional, committed, and confident SAO to join our team as a regular casual.

About the role

The School Administrative Officer plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the school by undertaking a broad range of administrative and support tasks.

This position involves direct engagement with students, staff, parents, and the wider community, and contributes to the smooth and professional functioning of the school.

Selection criteria

  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team
  • Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with teachers and students
  • Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality

Who can apply

School Administration Officers (SAO) with recent school-based experience are encouraged to submit an expression of interest addressing the selection criteria outlined.

Applicants must have a current paid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) and have approval from the Department of Education to work within a public school.

Applicants are requested to include the names of two referees, one of the referees listed must be the applicant's current Principal.
