About Our School
Winston Heights Public School has an enrolment of 305 students across 14
classes and is located in an established residential area in North West Sydney.

There is a strong focus on implementing the new K–6

collaborative team includes staff ranging from early-career to highly
experienced teachers, all dedicated to understanding individual student needs
and using data to inform differentiated teaching and learning programs.
Winston Heights PS offers students numerous opportunities to
participate and excel in extracurricular programs that enrich their knowledge
and broaden their understanding in areas such as arts, dance, band, technology,
sport, numeracy, public speaking, debating, and leadership.
Position Information
Winston Heights PS is seeking a dynamic and dedicated classroom teacher to join
our Stage 2 team in a Year 4 teaching role, commencing Monday, 22 September
(Term 3, Week 10) until the end of the 2025 school year (Friday, 19 December).
The Year 4 class consists of 22 students.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong classroom
management skills, solid curriculum knowledge - particularly a commitment to
evidence-based, explicit teaching practices. Responsibilities include
delivering high-quality learning experiences tailored to a diverse range of
student needs, maintaining a supportive and engaging classroom environment, and
contributing to whole-school priorities.

Selection Criteria
- Approval
to teach K–6 with a passion for middle primary education.
- Ability
to plan and implement literacy and numeracy strategies and make
adjustments to support student engagement and learning.
- Commitment
to whole-school wellbeing programs (PBL), with a strong emphasis on
effective classroom practices and proactive behaviour management
strategies that foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education.

mandatory requirements for employment in NSW public schools.
