Job Summary
Claymore Public School is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join our Early Stage 1 team for Term 4, 2025 with the possibility of extension into 2026. The role supports student learning and achievement through collaborative planning, teaching and assessment. The position will be located at: Claymore Public School, Dobell Road, Claymore, NSW
Claymore Public School has a total enrolment of 300 students from Preschool to Year 6, including 58 students in the support unit (consisting of IM, IO/AU, Autism and Early Intervention classes). There are 56% of students from a language background other than English and 15% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school caters for students from diverse language, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and aims to develop the whole child and cater for individual differences, providing many programs to support specific needs. The school continues to build on quality teaching, learning within a caring and supportive environment.
Selection criteria
1. Approval to teach infants and/or primary with a demonstrated ability to implement high-quality, evidence-based teaching strategies that promotes student learning.
2. Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills that build positive, respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
3. Demonstrated ability to work flexibly as a part of a collaborative team and act on feedback that improves one’s own teaching practice.
