Marryatville Primary, located in Kensington SA is seeking a compassionate, resilient, and experienced teacher to work 1:1 with a reception student (0.4-0.8) who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and is non-verbal. This role requires a consistent, informed approach to build trust, promote engagement, and support learning in a safe and structured environment. 

 The successful applicant will:

• Provide dedicated one-to-one teaching and behavioural support tailored to the student's individual learning interests and emotional needs.
• Plan, implement, and monitor support strategies, working closely with school leadership, parents, and external professionals.
• Foster a positive, safe, and consistent environment that supports emotional regulation and learning readiness.
• Develop and deliver differentiated learning tasks in line with the student's educational goals and abilities.
• Record and report on progress  and daily observations with accuracy and professionalism. 
• Demonstrate patience, consistency, and a flexible, child-centred approach.
• Work collaboratively with staff and family to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
• Be proactive in promoting emotional wellbeing and reducing triggers for challenging behaviour.
• Experience with augmentative and adaptive communication technologies (Proloquo2go) is desirable.
