Anzac Park Public School is situated on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. The school aspires to be outstanding through the purposeful creation of innovative learning environments that promote the development of critical, creative and collaborative life-long learners. The school has an enrolment of 740 students. Of these, 51% of students come from a language background other than English. They have a diverse, multicultural community with 25% of students born in a country other than Australia, and 0.6% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school has three multi-categorical support classes that provide a specialised setting for students with moderate to high learning and support needs.

About the role 

We are seeking x2 passionate and dedicated Stage 3 teachers who are committed to achieving exceptional learning outcomes for students. The ideal candidates will take initiative, possess a curious mindset, and consistently focus on improving the educational experience for all learners. The successful applicants will be a collaborative team player, actively engaging in stage and whole-school programs, and demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering collective efficacy throughout the school community. 

Selection Criteria 

  • Demonstrate ability in delivering effective and explicit literacy and numeracy pedagogies that improve learning outcomes for all students. 
  • Proven ability to engage in reflective practice and show evidence of ongoing improvement in teaching and learning, especially catering for diverse needs, including high potential and gifted students. 
  • Proven capacity to implement effective classroom management systems and foster productive, positive relationships to support student wellbeing.
