Fern Bay Public School – School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) Position

Fern Bay Public School is seeking a dedicated and flexible School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) to join our team as soon as possible. 

• Position Duration: every day for the rest of term 2. Casual work thereafter. Please only apply if you have availability for the rest of this term - up to and including 4th July.

• Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm

• Location: Fern Bay Public School

About the Role:
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with teaching staff to support students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with a range of learning and support needs. This includes students requiring assistance with autism, academic engagement, and behaviour support.

Essential Criteria:

• Availability during specified hours and days - nonnegotiable

• Flexibility to work across different classes and year levels

• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs (desirable)

• A supportive and proactive approach to student wellbeing

Working With Children Check (WWCC) and relevant clearances are required for this role.
