Mount St Patrick College, Murwillumbah

Mount St Patrick College is a co-educational Secondary College operating within the system administered by the Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools. It was opened in 1926 by the Presentation Sisters and was administered and staffed by them until 1989 and maintains a strong sense of identity from its rich history.

All staff, support and teaching, play an important role in delivering services which maintain  the total development of its pupils, spiritually, intellectually, physically, morally, socially, emotionally and culturally and through a sound education based on Christian, and especially Catholic, principles. Executive Assistant and Office Manager

Full time permanent position commencing May 2025

The Office Manager will work as part of a busy team liaising with students, parents, staff and the Principal. The Office Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the front office, overseeing and working with colleagues as well as Executive Level support to the Principal.This role requires a highly organised and motivated individual with exceptional people skills and experience in managing a small team of professionals. This role will be directly responsible to the Principal.

Applicants must:

  • Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • Understand and participate in the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
  • Have the ability to handle tasks with a high degree of confidentiality
  • Comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment (training provided)

Selection Criteria 

  • Administration/Business qualifications or proven experience in an administration role and/or a certificate in administration is desirable (or willingness to enrol)
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and equity in employment and a demonstrated capacity to apply related principles and policies
  • Have the ability to identify the Mission of a Catholic School and demonstrate Christian values in dealings with children, parents, teachers and the general public
  • Demonstrated experience working as an Executive Assistant and leading a small administration team
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft and Google suite of products and ability to learn news systems and processes quickly
  • High level interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and resolve operational challenges for staff in a proactive, cooperative and diplomatic manner
